Arthroscopy

If your diagnosis requires arthroscopic surgery, our office utilizes the most advanced techniques which allow patients to return home the same day. We are specialists in knee, hip and shoulder reconstructive surgery and have extensive experience with complex shoulder and knee problems that often require revision-type surgeries.

Arthritis

Although each case is different, our basic philosophy concerning arthritis is to begin with conservative treatment. This may include medications, steroid injections, joint fluid therapy and /or physical therapy and prescribed forms of exercise. There are some people, however, whose pain or lack of mobility requires a more invasive approach. In these instances, we may recommend joint replacement or other surgical remedies.

Joint Replacement

Because of the large number of joint replacements and joint revision surgeries we perform, we maintain a private staff to work with our patients. They administer pre-surgical education, assist in surgery and work with patients post-surgically to help them improve function and return to work or normal activities in the shortest possible time.

Minimal Incision Hip Surgery

Traditional hip replacements require a 12" incision. Now Dr. Daniel Kuesis can replace a hip with an incision just one-third as long.

In general, replacing the hip involves removing its damaged portion and replacing it with an artificial implant called a prosthesis. The new device is a substitute for, or a supplement to the natural joint, allowing for smooth and frictionless movement.

With the Mini-Incision, Dr. Kuesis still uses the same hip implants that patients have come to count on. These include the standard metal on polyethylene, metal on metal, and ceramic on ceramic hip replacements. Most patients mobilize quickly and leave the hospital in 1 to 3 days. Millions have benefited from hip replacement as it allows them to return to active painfree living.
